The right decisions were made for the characters. If you enjoy reading light comedy romances, then Austenland is a suitable choice. There was some swooning. However unlike the first book, I didn't find the Charlotte and her love interests as charming and likeable. Thankfully, this was not the case at all; this book is really more of just a second novel set in the same place, although a few of the peripheral characters from the first book show up again. Her character arc was compelling, and taught me a lesson about healing. But all is not as it seems on this quiet estate - there's something sinister in the air.

The idea, supposedly, is that Jane get Austen out of her system, shanonn how going to a place and immersing yourself in Austen for three weeks is meant to do that escapes me.
